How SENTRUM connects to Meta

SENTRUM uses Meta's official Marketing API with OAuth 2.0 authentication to securely access your ad performance data.

The connection process

1. OAuth Authorization — You log into Meta and grant SENTRUM access to read your data plus apply the status changes you approve

2. Token Exchange — Meta issues a secure access token (we never see your password)

3. Data Sync — SENTRUM pulls performance data via Meta's Marketing API

4. Ongoing Updates — Data refreshes automatically based on your reporting cadence

Approval-gated access

SENTRUM requests the minimum permissions needed:

ads_read — View campaign structure, settings, and performance
read_insights — Access performance metrics and reporting data
ads_management — Apply only the status changes you approve (pause or resume)

When you approve a recommendation, SENTRUM applies only that status change — pause or resume a campaign, ad set, or ad. Every change is logged and reversible in one click.

We cannot and do not:

Change budgets or bids (hard-blocked at the API layer)
Modify audiences or targeting
Create or delete campaigns, ad sets, or ads
Post content or manage pages

Token security

Access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256
Tokens are stored in isolated, access-controlled environments
We use short-lived tokens with automatic refresh
You can revoke access at any time from Meta Business Settings

Revoking access

To disconnect SENTRUM:

1. Go to Meta Business Settings → Integrations

2. Find SENTRUM and click Remove

3. Or disconnect from within SENTRUM at Settings → Connected Accounts

Your data in SENTRUM will be retained for 30 days after disconnection, then permanently deleted.
